The Groundsmaster® 4700-D continues to provide the clean quality of cut of a reel mower but with the maintenance ease of a rotary. At 150” width of cut, the free-floating Contour™ Plus Decks eliminate scalping, provide dramatic striping and deliver a picture perfect cut. Toro’s exclusive SmartCool™ system keeps your machine on the job and moving forward. Before things get too hot, SmartCool briefly reverses the cooling fan to blast chaff and debris from the intake screens. With a 55 hp (41 kW) Tier 4 Final and Stage V compliant turbo-diesel and the new Smart Power™ technology, that maximizes power to the cutting blades, the Groundsmaster 4700-D is an unprecedented blend of powerful productivity and refined results.

Durable Design

Contour® Plus Cutting Decks
  • The Contour™ Plus cutting technology takes quality of cut to a whole new level. Air inlet pockets keep the grass standing tall for the cleanest possible cut and a modified rear discharge opening disperses clippings more evenly.
InfoCenter™
  • Get helpful maintenance reminders and instant notification of potential problems. During normal operation, the InfoCenter displays operating information, while constantly monitoring the internal health of the machine. Audible and visual alarms notify the operator of a potential problems, which helps technicians identify the source of the issue. With the electronically controlled foot pedal, set a maximum mowing speed for greater control of operator usage.
Operator Comfort
  • The operator area of the Groundsmaster® 4500-D and 4700-D was designed to make work more comfortable with amenities like a large operator platform, multi-size beverage holder, 12-volt outlet, storage box, deluxe seat, and portable radio holder. Operators will also be pleased by the lower sound levels and the additional storage area behind the seat that's large enough for a water cooler, trash bucket, and other items.
